#52 How to Know the Truth & Achieve Happiness – Part 1
Posted: November 4th, 2009 | Author: Him | Filed under: Life | 2 Comments »Let’s assume we’re starting this blog all over again.
How are we to piece the whole world together, use what we know to uncover the ultimate truth, and achieve happiness?
Before we get into the subject matter, of course we need to start from the bottom.
So here we go, let’s fall deep, deep to the lowest ground once more.
We’re there, now we can begin.
This existence we’re living today is called Life.
In life, we were born to believe that everything about us or specifically, “me” is this body we’re “controlling.”
As we grow up, we then learn (and is conditioned) that who we are is this identity that the mind contains, understands & maintains.
Everything about human life is determined up to the extent of the condition of your body, the knowledge in your mind & the experiences it generates.
We are taught that this is ‘real.’
I put the word real under inverted commas for a reason, you’ll learn why as we continue.
But little did we know that this picture is not complete.
Not complete yet, because we didn’t go into an honest enquiry to fill in the blanks of the questions we haven’t honestly ask.
It’s like a baby who had been born into New York City in a wealthy family, who had grown up to become a teenager in modern society, and who had always been surrounded by great care & love since he/she was young saying that the world is comfortable, because his/her life is abundantly nourished.
The missing link lies in that ‘unknowingness’ of a world outside of the comfort zone he/she enjoys in New York City.
Little did he/she know that actually someplace else other than this modern city, someplace where people actually don’t even have the ability to get themselves 3 meals a day, some other environments where there are no buildings but is filled with just nature & ‘the wild’ exists – these places had always been there, but were just simply ‘cut off’ or ‘ignored’ in his/her reality.
This explanation serves only to lead your mind to an understanding:
“That it’s important to enquire about the WHOLE picture of life, if we were to get what’s real, what’s the ultimate truth that countless before us have strived to discover.”
Why is this ‘truth’ important?
Because unless it’s the truth, it’s nature is ever-changing, uncertain, biased, separated, illusionary.
The only way we could all attain a genuine quality of happiness is if we’ve achieved what we’ve done based on what is true, what is real, what is authentic to our hearts.
After all, what we have all done in this life on earth, we’re just striving for this genuine quality of happiness, a good life aren’t we?
Well don’t just take these words written here as facts, listen quietly to your heart and inquire whether this is all true.
Once you’ve come to a peaceful understanding of everything we’ve just talked about, then I’m glad to announce this:
“Congratulations because you’ve just attained the most valuable ‘tool’ there is to opening your eyes towards real truth & discovering genuine happiness.”
In the rest of our journey, you’ll discover that there is nothing doubtful, uncertain or unsatisfying with ‘this way’.
You will know just exactly how, as we continue, you can truly, genuinely & wholly, experience happiness all the time.
One last thing before I finish writing for now – I’m going to write each post with the accompaniment of Burt Harding’s videos.
Burt Harding is a man whom I’ve ‘got’ the realization of the ultimate truth of life & happiness from.
And I believe, down this road, you would probably say the same too.
In this post, we’ll venture into ‘Self Inquiry.’
Because that’s where it all begins.
Know the Self, and you’ll know how to live.

I like to know everything about how know the truth and achieve happiness… im not really interested before i watch and listen to your video because it was just a part of my homework in my philosopy subject.. but right after i watch the video..i’d like to know more.. thank you for creating this kind of website…
You’re fully welcome.
Thank you too, I appreciate your comment.
A small note: Allow these texts/resources to be only references. And make everything else, all knowledge in the world to be only so. I don’t claim to know the truths of the world, but I seek the path that I should thread upon and make choices that get closer to it everyday.
That’s the best I can do.
And I’d like to share that with you, for I believe that we exist in this world to be us. To be ourselves. This whole thing called life is for us to know who we really are, and live for what we should really do.
